Magnus Macfarlane-Barrow, the founder of Mary’s Meals, is a constant source of inspiration and encouragement to us. His simplicity, humility and total dedication to his goal of feeding every hungry child, encourages us to redouble our efforts every year.
He is shown here with the Reverend Laurence Whitley, the Minister of Glasgow Cathedral, who as one of our patrons, graciously opens our fine art exhibition every year, and fills us with renewed hope in his opening words.
Archbishop Mario Conti (pictured here with Netta Ewing), well known for his promotion of the arts in Glasgow, is also a patron of Artists for Mary’s Meals. He opened our exhibitions at the Macgregor Fine Art Gallery, and has always been a source of kindly support. Bailie Liz Cameron of Glasgow City Council has also offered assistance.
